Integrative Therapy

"Integrative Therapy is an approach that using various techniques tailored to the individual"

Integrative therapy is a treatment approach that involves selecting the
techniques that are best suited to the client's specific needs by tailoring the therapy to the individual. It is not constrained by a single school of thought or treatment method. Instead, it employs therapeutic tools drawn from a diverse range of evidence-based psychotherapy and well-being approaches. Integrative Psychotherapy is a treatment model that emphasises working with the whole person. This comprehensive approach ensures that the individual is understood in the context of their internal and external environment.

The International Integrative Psychotherapy Association has identified eight core beliefs that reflect the approach's value system.

• Non-judgemental understanding of human behaviour is required.

• Therapist-client relationship is more important than a single style therapy.
• Healing and growth is part of human nature.
• Human functions rely heavily on internal and external contact.
• A social or connective relationship motivates people throughout their lives.
• All human behaviours have meaning, and everyone is equally valuable.
• Human experiences are interconnected and can be classified as physiological, affective, or cognitive.
