CBT - Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

"Our thoughts and feelings and behaviour are intricately linked and influence one another."

CBT is a type of talking therapy that aims to change the way we think
(cognition) and act (behaviour) to help people cope and manage problems. It is based on the notion that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviour are intricately linked and influence one another. When we have unhelpful thoughts and feelings, we are more likely to engage in unhelpful behaviours, which can lead to a vicious cycle. CBT aims to teach us how to recognise unhelpful patterns and how to break down and approach problems in a different way to improve how we feel.
